Democratic candidate Pam DeLissio hopes voters will take a look at her application for State Representative. DeLissio equates this campaign process as a job interview with the voters portraying her prospective employer. Like many candidates in the race for the 194th Pennsylvania Legislative District, she brings a unique perspective to the table. She has been a resident of the 194th since 1982; living in Wynnefield, the Penn Wynne section of Lower Merion and currently in Roxborough.

PHILADELPHIA, PA-Pam DeLissio, candidate for the 194th House District received two big endorsements this week. On Thursday, March 11th, the Montgomery County Democratic Committee voted overwhelmingly to endorse DeLissio for State Representative.

Local Lower Merion Committee person Meryl Gindin, had this to say about the endorsement, "I support Pam DeLissio because I believe that she has the requisite business background and personal strength to effectively represent her constituents in Harrisburg on the most pressing issues of health care, jobs and education. Even though the Lower Merion part of the 194th district represents a small portion of the district, I appreciate that Pam reached out to me and assured me that my area is just as important as the rest of the district. I know that we will have a wonderful working relationship with Pam when she is elected as our State Representative."

Like sunflowers, the names of those who are running for office continually sprout and grow. A new name, with a strong backer, has sprung out in the race for the Democratic nomination for State Representative of the 194th Legislative District.

Philadelphia businesswoman, Pam DeLissio, is kicking off her campaign to succeed Rep. Kathy Manderino in the 194th District.

Manderino has mentioned many times in the past her desire to see more women present in the legislature. Manderino has agreed to serve as her Campaign Chair.

OUR CHOICES FOR THREE HOUSE SEATS

EVERY TIME state House races come around, we are reminded of what the 18th-century writer Samuel Johnson had to say about second marriages: He called them the triumph of hope over experience.
Each election cycle, we have hopes for Harrisburg to be infused with new blood - for people to say "we're mad as hell and we're going to change things." And some of them run, and get elected.

And before you know it, the election cycle has returned, and nothing much has changed.

A crowded race in the Northwest

With a visor on her head to block out the sun, a handful of window posters in her clutch, and friend and supporter Brian Tracy by her side, Pam DeLissio looked the part of legislative campaigner.

The Roxborough woman, one of five persons vying for the 194th Legislative District nomination in next week's Democratic primary, was walking Manayunk's Main Street last week, taking advantage of the crowded business corridor on Cinco de Mayo.

As she ducked into businesses, DeLissio, a businesswoman who looks to succeed longtime Democratic legislator Kathy Manderino, did her best to make her message heard. It didn't seem to fall on deaf ears.
